Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden, born 14 August 1959 in La Jolla (California), was the third of five. She was the daughter of Beverly (Bushfield) had been a homemaker, and her dad, Thad Harold Harden, served in the military. Her family moved frequently. In the time they resided in Greece, she became interested in theater, and she attended Athens shows. Harden went on to study at American universities in Europe before returning to the US in 1983 and completed her degree at the University of Texas. She earned an MFA from NYU and began acting professionally. Her previous roles included one movie in 1986 in The Imagemaker, but her first big role came in Miller's Crossing, the Coen Brothers funny, humorous tribute to gangster films. Harden was widely praised by critics for her stunning performance as Verna. Harden then continued to perform consistently in supporting roles, including the portrayal of Ava Gardner in Sinatra (1992) A biopic that aired on TV that focused on Frank Sinatra.
