Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a popular American actor and singer. Parents include Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. She was raised and born in Huntington Woods Michigan. Kristen is born in Polish heritage (mother) in addition to German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her passion for entertainment at an early stage of her life. In 1992 she won her first role at her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell, who was 13 at the time her mother enrolled up for an agent, was also auditioned for advertisements for newspapers and television. In addition to taking private lessons and acting lessons, she started her career in the year 2000. Bell appeared on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998, as an uncredited actress. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was a member of the music club as well as the drama club. She was the star of Dorothy in her high school's performance of The Wizard of Oz. Bell went on to study musical theatre at the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts located in New York City after graduating. Bell quit university in 2001 and began playing the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she was the first to make her credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. However the film cut her character from the film and she only appears as a credit. Bell appeared part of the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
