Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini, a businessman. Her heritage is Italian via her father's grandfather. Irish through the mother she had, German, English, Scottish as well as German. Linda was the eldest child of four children in San Francisco Bay, California. At the age of 10 she became attracted to acting after performing in school plays. She also continued doing school plays as well as performing in community theater.
