LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The player is referred to as King James and is considered to be among the greatest basketball players of all time. James is the winner of 4 NBA championships. Four NBA MVPs. Four NBA Finals MVPs. Three All-Star MVPs. And two Olympic gold medals. James is the NBA All-Star who has the highest number of playoff points. He also has the second-highest point total and the seventh best career assist total. James has been named an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times and on the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. The third most amount in NBA Finals ever was ten and eight of them were consecutive between 2011-2018. James was chosen to join the 75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022, he became only the third NBA player ever to score at least 10,000 points in a career. James was a basketball player for St. Vincent St. Mary High School, located in Akron Ohio. The national media celebrated him as an NBA player of the year. As a prep-to-pro player, he was picked by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall pick in 2003's NBA draft. He was named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year, the player quickly became one of the league's premier players winning his NBA MVP title in 2009 and 2010. James signed a free-agent contract in 2010 after failing to earn championships in Cleveland. The decision to quit Cleveland for Miami Heat, announced on The Decision, a popular television show The Decision, is considered among the most controversial free agent moves in sports history.
